V31Explore: search players & teams, instant launchCURRENTJul 18 · 10:30 AM ET
- 🟢 Dream Team: Still in play — the Standings gets a Still in play button that opens your run-in: the games still to play, exactly which of your players are still on the pitch (grouped by their next game, with your ⭐ captain marked), and where you stand — how many live players you and the leader each still have, and roughly how many goals would close the gap. The third-place game counts for the Dream Team too (real minutes), even though it doesn’t affect the bracket.
- 📊 Stats, expanded — the Stats tab now splits into Players and Countries, each with a Leaders · Browse switch: Leaders is the leaderboards, Browse is a searchable directory.
- 🔎 Find any player — Stats → Players → Browse: every player in the tournament, alphabetical with a letter rail to jump, plus filter chips — Positions · Countries · Clubs · Leagues. Tap Positions then a role to see every striker; or type to narrow (it matches the start of any word, accent-insensitive). Long lists like clubs get their own A–Z rail.
- 🌍 Browse teams — Stats → Countries → Browse: a searchable A–Z list of all 48 nations; tap one to open its team card (record, standings, what needs to happen).
- 🎯 Every player’s details — each player now shows their specific position (Striker, Centre-back, Left winger…) plus their age, current club and league — in the list and on their pop-out card.
- ⚡ Instant launch — the app now opens instantly from your device instead of re-downloading everything each time, so it comes up fast even on a cold connection — and it works offline. Live scores still refresh the moment you’re back online.
- ⏳ Loading screen — if it ever needs a moment, a branded WC 26 splash shows while it loads, so a slow open is never just a blank screen.
- 🗂️ Groups & Standings, merged — they were the same thing, so the tabs are now Calendar · Groups · Knockout · Explore, and Groups has a Group tables · Standings switch. The Golden Boot board moved to Stats → Players → Leaders, and world ranking is now a sort toggle on Stats → Countries → Browse.
- 🤖 Claude plays Mini Picks too — the model now has a Mini Picks bracket (picked from the odds), scored alongside you in the Mini and Combined standings.
- ⚡ Live Dream Team scoring — now complete — assists and goalkeeper saves now score live too, within a minute, alongside goals and cards — no more waiting for the stats feed to catch up after the whistle. Your XI’s points move in real time.
- 🥇 Golden Boot tiebreaker — when scorers are tied at the top, each now shows their assists (the official tiebreaker) so you can see who’s really leading.
- 💬 Send feedback — a new Send feedback button in ⚙ Settings lets you report a bug, suggest an idea, or leave a comment — and attach a screen recording or screenshot if it helps. It goes straight to the developer.
- ♿ Sharper & more accessible — bigger tap targets, clearer small-text contrast, and full VoiceOver/keyboard support in the pop-out cards. On the smallest phones the fixture list now always shows both team names.
- 🔴 Live-now cue — while a match is in progress, the tab it lives on (Knockout now, Calendar during the group stage) shows a small pulsing red dot, so you can jump straight to the live game from anywhere.
- ✨ Subtle motion cues — a live goal makes the score pop, pop-out cards ease in, switching tabs fades the new view, and the “As of” time flashes when fresh scores land — little touches that point your eye to what just changed. (All respect your device’s Reduce Motion setting.)
- 🏅 Who’s winning Mini Picks — the Leaderboard has a new Rank by: Total · Main · Mini toggle. Tap Mini and it re-ranks by Mini Picks points so the mini leader jumps to the top (everyone who played the mini bracket is included).
- 🔗 Jump to any knockout game — every knockout game on the calendar now shows its bracket slot (SF2, QF1, FINAL…). Tap it to jump straight to that game in the bracket, where it lights up so you can spot it.
- ⚖️ Ties now have a winner — if two players finish level on points, the one with more correct picks takes it (only a dead-level tie stays a shared finish). Applies to the leaderboard, finish scenarios and the champions card — and the finish scenarios now tell both tied players and name who.
- 🔮 Finish scenarios, tidier — the pop-out now fits on one screen: the redundant “Best/Worst” line is gone (the % chances already show your range) and identical adjacent odds merge into one (e.g. “3rd–4th 17%”).
V30Dream Team & player photosJul 11 · 1:00 AM ET
- 📋 Last-match recap — your Dream Team now opens with a card showing how many points your XI banked in the latest game and exactly which players earned them, each with the reason (goal, clean sheet, card…). Played more than one knockout game? A Points by game dropdown lets you see any game’s haul — the game in progress shows live and is the default. Tap any player for their full breakdown. In Standings, a Points by game filter re-ranks everyone by any single game — see who had the best game — and tapping anyone shows their own game-by-game breakdown.
- ⚡ Faster loading — the app opens noticeably quicker now (compressed pages + built-in fonts), especially on mobile data.
- 🔗 Tap any player — player names across the app now open their card, including in a match’s timeline and lineups (tap a scorer or a lineup name to see their stats, age & club).
- 👆 Tap a stat, see when it happened — in any player’s card the Goals, Yellow and Red chips are now tappable (gold-outlined, with a ▾) and open a breakdown of every one — which game, the score, the date and the exact minute (penalties flagged). And in a country’s pop-out, each game result now opens the full match card.
- 🔮 Finish scenarios — a new pop-out on the Leaderboard shows where every player can still finish (by Total) and exactly which teams need to win for them to get there — your ceiling, your floor, and the scenarios in between.
- 📈 Pre-match odds in every match card — tap any game and the details now show the full pre-match line: each outcome’s chance % and the actual moneyline, plus who’s favored to advance in the knockouts.
- 🏆 Champions finale — when the Final ends, a celebratory Champions card pops up crowning the winners of all four games: Overall, Bracket, Mini Picks and Dream Team (with runner-ups), alongside the World Champion team. Re-open it any time from ⚙ Settings.
- ⚖️ Goals-conceded penalty — to balance clean-sheet stacking, a goalkeeper or defender now loses −1 for every 2 goals their team concedes in a knockout game (standard fantasy). A shutout still earns +4; this just adds the downside so loading up on one defense isn’t risk-free.
- ⚡ Live Dream Team scoring — your XI now scores within a minute of a goal instead of waiting for the game to finish. Goals and cards land live from the match feed, and a clean sheet is credited the moment a game ends; assists and goalkeeper saves follow once the stats feed updates.
- 📸 Player photos — uniform official headshots now appear across the app: on the Stats and Dream Team player lists, the Golden-Boot scorer board and every match timeline, plus a big portrait in each player’s pop-out card. A country flag stands in for the few players without a photo.
- 🌟 Dream Team — build a fantasy XI in the formation you choose on an $85m budget drawn from the 8 quarter-finalists. Tap any position to pick, and tap a player’s name to see their stats.
- 👀 See everyone’s Dream Team — the Standings has a new Everyone view showing every player’s full XI at a glance, and you can tap anyone to open their whole squad.
- 🔄 Swap players faster — tap any picked player to instantly swap them for another, and the picker now stays open so you can fill a whole line (all 4 defenders, etc.) in a row.
- ⚽ Pick your formation — the Dream Team isn’t locked to 4-3-3 anymore. Choose 4-4-2, 3-5-2, 4-5-1, 3-4-3, 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 from the Formation dropdown and the slots adjust to match.
- Auto-fill styles — one tap fills a whole side (Balanced / Offensive / Midfield / Defensive), with a per-slot 🔒 lock and 🔄 refresh so you can keep the players you like and reshuffle the rest. Pick a captain (2×) to save; forward-only scoring, plus a 📖 Fantasy primer if you’re new to fantasy.
- 🔔 Alerts — get a push when your Dream Team scores or before it locks at the first quarter-final, plus goals, upsets and new features. Tap the 🔔 on any tab to choose exactly which alerts you want.
V29Stats — team & player leaderboardsJul 7 · 5:50 PM ET
- 🆕 Stats tab — a whole new tab with two sides. Teams: ranked leaderboards for goals, attempts, expected goals (xG), passing %, clean sheets, goals conceded and possession. Players: every category from the official app — attacking, distribution, defending, discipline, goalkeeping, movement & physical — each with its own sub-stats (assists, tackles, saves, touches, duels…), filterable by a single team or all teams.
- Drawn live from the official stats feed and refreshed automatically, so the boards stay current as games play out. Tap any team row to open its card.
V28Mini Picks — a second-chance bracketJul 7 · 1:45 PM ET
- 🆕 Mini Picks — a new tab: even if your main bracket busted, play a fresh 8-team second-chance bracket of the quarter-finalists (quarter-finals → champion). It opens the moment all eight QFs are set (tonight) and locks at the first quarter-final. Your Mini Picks score adds to your main total — it can only help, never hurt.
- Standings on every team — each team now shows its overall standing (seed of 48) right on the pick buttons and across the bracket, including finished games, so the seed you’re picking against is clear at a glance.
V27Play against ClaudeJul 2 · 11:00 AM ET
- 🏆 Best-ever World Cup on knockout teams — every team in the last 16 shows its best previous World Cup finish in its pop-out, and flags a 🌟 deepest run ever when it tops that (like Norway).
- ⚡ Upset bonus in scoring — correctly pick the lower seed (by group standing) and earn bonus points scaled by the seed gap (15+ = +3, 8–14 = +2, 3–7 = +1), March-Madness style. Tap 📊 Scoring on the leaderboard for the full rules.
- 🤖 Claude now competes in the leaderboard — its model bracket is scored right alongside you and ranked in the table. Tap it to open its bracket, and try to beat the machine.
- Match times now show in your local time zone (PT, ET, CT…), not always ET.
- The match timeline marks how each goal was scored — a red-ringed ⚽ for a penalty, plus an FK (free kick) or H (header) — and a knockout tie decided on spot-kicks shows the penalty-shootout score.
- Final scores on the official bracket, any player’s picks now viewable as a Tree, and the Everyone tree fills the whole bracket from the pool’s consensus.
- Pre-match odds stay on finished games, so you can see how close the bookmakers were to the result.
- Set a photo as your profile avatar — and the knockout round now gets the same alerts, ⚡ upset flags and ⭐ favorites as the group stage.

- Every country pop-out now opens with a Notable line — a piece of World Cup history at a glance.
- With the group stage done, the Round of 32 is fully drawn (the eight best third-placed teams in their real slots), and the bracket and calendar fill themselves as each knockout game is played.
- New ⚡ Upset alert when an underdog leads in the second half, separate from 🔥 tight finishes — and each match alert can be set to just your teams or all games.
- Upsets are flagged in the knockouts too — a ⚡ on any giant-killing result, live and across the past tournaments (Morocco over Spain & Portugal, Korea over Italy & Spain, Bulgaria over Germany…).
- A pulsing NEW badge points you to fresh features and clears once you’ve tried them — and the leaderboard’s bracket Tree opens bigger.
- Tap any knockout game for its match card — pre-match odds, the live timeline, stats and lineups, just like the group games, with the odds on each knockout row in the calendar too.
V25See the whole pool’s picksJun 27 · 6:35 PM ET
- The leaderboard’s Bracket tab now opens on 👥 Everyone — every player’s knockout picks overlaid in one view, as a List or right on the Tree (the bracket itself, pinch-zoom and pan). Each team shows who advanced it (colored initials) plus a top-pick / voters agreement badge, with the legend pinned so you can read them.
- Once games are played, the team that actually won turns green with a gold ring on whoever called it, while busted picks dim and strike through — an instant “who nailed it”.
- Pick any name from the dropdown to drop back to that one player’s bracket (or tap anyone’s initials anywhere to jump to theirs).
V24Picks: scoreboard, badges & celebrationsJun 27 · 3:20 PM ET
- A “My Score” card now tops the leaderboard — your rank, points, correct picks and how much of the bracket has resolved, with your own row highlighted.

- When one of your knockout picks comes true, a little celebration pops up with the points you just earned.

V22Upsets, history & picks tiebreakerJun 25 · 11:15 PM ET
- The calendar now flags upsets — a finished game a much lower-ranked side won gets a ⚡, and a live game where the underdog leads shows a pulsing "upset brewing" ⚡. The legend gains ★ Games to watch and ⚡ Upset.
- New past World Cups on the Knockout tab: a year picker (2026 back to 1986) opens the full two-sided knockout bracket for any tournament — every score web-verified.
- The picks game gains a tiebreaker: guess the total goals in the Final — the closest guess breaks any leaderboard tie on points, and everyone’s guess shows in its own column.
V21Pregame analysisJun 25 · 1:15 PM ET
- New pregame analysis in the country and match pop-outs — key players, current form, injuries, the tactical matchup and what's at stake, drawn from recent reports with linked sources.

- Pop-out cards now open at the top of the screen — more visible without scrolling.
- A gold 1st badge marks the four World Cup debutants (Cape Verde, Curaçao, Jordan, Uzbekistan) — and teams reaching the knockouts for the first time — in the team pop-outs and on the bracket.
- The FIFA world ranking now has its own labelled column in the group tables, with ▲▼ movement since the pre-tournament list.
- Team outlook spots a dead rubber — when a team's last group game can't change whether they advance, it says so instead of inventing a must-win.
V20Profiles & avatarsJun 24 · 5:30 PM ET
- Every player gets a profile — your name, an optional email, and an avatar: your first initial or a country flag.
- Change your name anytime and you stay identified; the optional email keeps it linked and is there for later.
